I haven't driven the nitto's for a long period of time (thought their grip kinda sucks) But having driven the kumho's and paradas for their respective lifetimes, I'd say the kumho's are the most quiet.

The Bridgestone RE950's are probably the quietest tires ive heard. The Khumo 712's are definatly not quiet. Ill end up compairing them to the tires I get next (probably Yokohama AVS ES100's) to see how they compair...

My last ride was a 93 Integra with some mods. It had 205/45/16 Nitto 450's. They were very quiet for highway rides. I thought they had decent grip even in norther CA, where it rains alot i.e. farther north than S.F.
I don't have any track experiences or have autocrossed; therefore I cannot vouch for there "race" qualities. I also have not driven cars with Kumho's and thus cannot compare the differences.
I do have motorcycle experience and therefore am aware of drift and on-road traction qualities/feel.
Bottom line: I getting 17" Nitto 450's on my new 03' GT Wagon.
Hope this helps.

Nitto 450's
I live in Eureka, CA. The roads here can be quite broken up i.e. potholes and ruts. If you're familiar with the 2nd generation Integras you'll know that they have little suspension travel. Great handling cars, but horrible transmission of road noise and "kickback" from the steering wheel.
Anyway, the Nitto and aftermarket wheel combination made the car much quieter and more secure feeling than the OEM Michellin XGT's
Good luck.

BTW, Nittos do cost a little more than the Kumho, but I'm still ordering it my new wheels.
