What are the Cheapest Wheels for '05 STi snow use

I'm looking for a set of wheels to throw snow tires on. All I care about is that they clear the brakes and wheel wells. The smaller diameter, the better (since tires will be cheaper). Will a set of Ford wheels or any other wheels from another car (nissan or toyota) w/ 5x4.5 (114.3) fit, and clear the brakes?

TIA.

I doubt you will find wheels from other manufacturers that will fit the STi. Between the odd offset and huge brakes, you're stuck with OEM and STi-intended aftermarket wheels. Fortunately, you can get a plethora of 17x7.5 Subaru specific wheels that clear the brakes for as little as $280 a set if you look around and aren't picky about weight or looks. But for barely more than that, you can look for used Rotas, and have a wide selection of perfectly fitting wheels that will probably come in a style and color you will like, plus you can easily sell them later if you decide you don't want or need them anymore.
