Cheapest place for snow tires

Hello all,

I am looking to get some snow tires to mount on my stock STi wheels. 225/45/17 tires. Anyone know of a place to get them cheap in the bay area?

I am looking at heading up to Tahoe the weekend of the 15th, and would prefer to not drive up on the stock potenza re070s. And my RT-615's that are on the car right now are really not going to cut it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

get the price from tirerack and go to wheel works and they will beat the price and install it for you.

Please do everyone a favor and buy a quality snow tire. I'm tired of digging people out of snow banks because they spun out on ****ty tires.

I purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 tires for my stock rims. They're on their second season and have performed admirably. They're not quite as good as the Blizzaks I've got for my wife's car, but they stand up to the long stretches of dry pavement that we have between us and the mountains. I didn't, and wouldn't for that matter, drive the Blizzaks all winter around the bay as it's just too dry too much of the time and the Blizzaks are pretty damn soft. Whenever we want to take her car, I mount the Blizzaks for the weekend and take them off when we get home. That's part of the reason I went with the Michelins this time around. No regrets thus far

if that were the case i would just point and laugh.

I personally use dunlop winter sport m3's. I drive about 7 months out of the year on them. 3rd season and they still have plenty of tread. probably have like 30k dry road miles on them.
