Weight Questions

I am looking to get a new set of 18's on WRX. My current setup is heavy and is adversely effecting my performance. What is considered "light weight" for an 18?

Would the Prodirve P1's be a good choice?

I also realize tires have weight too. Are the Nitto NT555 good tires? Are they light?

Please help me out!

Thanks.

Anything below 18lbs. would be a lightweight in my opinion. The lighter the better. The SSR Competition (silver, gold, or anthracite) weighs just 14.6 lbs.

I have the Nitto 555's. They appear to be made of a harder compound which sacrifices some grip for high treadwear. I like them.

I don't remember the exact weight of the P1's, but I don't think they're very light.
