Using wheel spacers?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying a 18" rims with an offset of 42. Should I buy them and use wheel spacers or not? What are drawbacks on it?

the 42mm offset is too low and the use of spacers will just make it lower ..... you should run an offset from 48mm to 55mm
