Update of tires

Anyone know how the Kumho Ecsta XS tires relate to the others in the Closed thread above?
I guess this is a push for TTR to update their list:>)
Thanks

the jury is still out as nobody got them early enough to thoroughly put them through the paces ... from what I know they should rival the RE01R and Dunlop Star Spec

Luke,
We just finished our autox season yesterday here in CA . One civic has been using them since the middle of Oct, but I value your opinion more.
I have until mid Jan to figure out what to get next.

Take the Yokohama S.drive's off the list!

I have them, and let me tell you, they are horrible. With just 220 to the wheels I can get them to slip and squirm on dry asphalt coming out of any turn, they groan at low speeds, they have absolutely reduced my confidence in turning and creating predictable slides. A suspension-tuned WRX (wheels, sway bars, springs, camber bolts) like mine can make even garbage tires feel great, and these do not feel great. My previous F1 GS-D3s were an order of magnitude better, I kick myself every day for having bought budget tires. These s-drives feel like generic dealer multi-seasons, not performance tires.

You might want to keep opinions on how someone else drives jammed up your tailpipe, where they belong; if you've driven on F1 Eagles, you'd probably share my opinion on why s.drives are a big step down.

What nittos worked for you?
