unusual tire wear (was: what does this mean?)

i was checking my tires yesterday, and i noticed that my tires are "feathering" a little. i dont know if this is the correct term, but that is what my autoshop teacher called it. At the end of each treadblock, there would be like a little ducktail swoosh. what are my tires telling me? does this mean that my struts are going bad or does it just mean that im driving a little too hard?

what kind of roads are you driving on? Sometimes it could mean a bad alignment.

just on regular paved roads. no off roading. occasional backroad runs.

Alignment (toe settings) and aggressive cornering are the 2 most likely culprits.
