Which Tire Size?
Which Tire Size?
I have set my mind on the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tire but I cannot decide on getting the 205/55/16 or the 225/50/16 for the stock wrx wheels. I can get the 225's for $100 bucks cheaper overall than the 205's but after reading that the F1's have a soft sidewall, would this set up look too goofy with the overlaping tire on the wheel??
to those who have experience with the F1's: is the soft sidewall going to be a huge problem running that size on the OEM wheel??
i appreciate the input
thanks
justin

What wheels are these going on? If they are stock WRX wheels, 205 might be better, but if they are stock RS wheels, or anything else that is 7" wide, 225 is the better choice.
going on stock wheels (6.5'' wide)
the specs of the 225/50/16 tire say it fits a 6''-8'' rim. I thought it might be a better idea to get the wider tire size because I have read that the F1's run rather narrow ????

one thing i forgot to mention...I have prodrive springs on my car which supposedly lower it approx 20mm, do you think I will have fitment or rubbing issues with the 225/50/16 eagle F1's?
