Suggestions Plz: New Tires
My Dunlop SP5000 All-Season is worn down
and I need some new SUMMER tires. Last ones I had were Ecsta712 and I can't remember the size. BruceLee or soemone similar on I-club made the suggestion and they fit perfectly without rubbing. I'm thinking about the same ones but also looking at the Yokohama AVS ES100. I think I might try to Yokohama AVS this time and see how they perform. The Kumo's are loud compare to my current Dunlops', and I hope the AVS's are not. Anyway, what size could I get to not have them rub? Thanks.

P.S. Gosh, it's been so long since I've checked out this board. Now that I'm in CA and not MN things just seem so rushed. Anyway, glad to see it's still up and expanding. The new look is alright, still blue.
People are nicer out here though...

205/55-16 is the size right? That's what I show as the best fit on the original wheels. I'd go with the ES100s over the Kumho 712s - better in all areas in my opinion. ES100s will make a bit more noise than the 5000s, but less than the Kumhos.

Hankook
The K104 Sports are great tires and beat the ES100 in consumer reports and came in just behind my favorate "SO-3". The best part is there half the price of SO-3's.
Give Hankook a try. There a great tire for anyprice.
