Looking For 2.5 RS suggestions READ PLZ
I have a 2001 impreza RS Coupe and i am looking to make the exterior and interior look a little more flashy, but not ricey. I was thinking about maybe a red sti wing, gold rims, yellow fogs, rally lights. I was also wondering if anybody has any idead for the interior. Also if anybody has any input on engine upgrades. I currently have an aem short ram intake system. I also degreased the whole engine ( its nice and shiny now) I like how the car sounds and it definately has more hp, but if anyone has any suggestions please comment. PLEASE I NEED SUGGESTIONS OR PRICES!!!

You can always go with an NA build. You can turbo your current config. Boost would have to be toned down a bit as the compression ratios are higher in an na motor. A late model ej series swap with a turbo is a good option as well.mda is selling a spliced harness that would make this quite "easy". Check rs25.com.

There are a few turbo kits out there, lots of people use the avo kits. RS2.5 has a vendor on there, tradewind, they are an Australian company that have been making superchargers for gc's and gd's for a while. They run stock 2.5rs internals on 6 psi of boost and give their guarantee that it works and is safe, their rs is pushing 50k on the supercharger. It actually gives you a huge boost of torque, not so much hp though. The torque numbers they site are their own dynos, and they show something like 350nm/250lb.ft at like 3k., and about 200 hp, they even sell the ecu with it so it all works. the entire kit is like 2 grand for charger and ecu, not bad, and a hell of a lot easier to swap than turbocharging it. Delta is doing a lot of work on cams for our cars, they are working on a 1500 grind and a 3000 grind, 1000 is street able and can even get by cali smog, and the higher you go the more racey the cam profile.

OK, say you don't want to go with a turboed EJ, maybe you want a NA EJ setup, then, you may want get some type of tuned exhaust, a free flow catalytic converter, a high quality cat-back, then some kind of piggy-back ecu. Start to lighten up the drivetrain by getting a lightweight flywheel, a lightweight clutch and pressure plate, followed by carbon fibre or aluminum driveshafts. After that then start to lighten and make the body more aerodynamic. Carbon Fiber is the most expensive way to go but it is definately lighter and would make your car handle alot better. Fiberglass is cheaper than CF but not as light but it might give you more options for the style you want.

he is there, his username is Tradewind
the actual company is raptor supercharger, just look them up, here is the link
http://www.raptorsc.com.au/
the site is in Australian dollars, so prices differ a bit, I'm not sure what changes have been made, i haven't followed the kit for about 4 months since my automatic wont hold more than 3psi of boost, and cams are a cheaper way to get the power i want. The site isnt always updated, so find the thread on rs25.com and you can catch all the updates, i beleive they are almost done working on maf cars right now.

don't forget, its not "technically" smog legal in California, it will have its drawbacks and the audible sc may attract some unwanted attention, you have been warned.
