Red face Stock BBS/Greatest wheel size?

I was just wondering what the widest wheel size i could fit on the stock bbs for the 05 sti. Im thinking about putting 235. But is this pushing it? or can i go even higher with "safeness" of course. Can anyone help me out? Also did anyone powder coat their wheels yet?

i've seen people put 245 on some 7.5... so i don't see why not 235 on the stock sti wheels, u might have to roll frenders tho....

my buddy has 18x8.5 wheels i think, and he has like 235 or 245 on his MR, but he didnt have to roll, so im thinking it should be fine also. But maybe cause the wheel gap for sti is so small. Any one have pics?

i'm not sure about the back spacing on your wheels but i know that most of the time the WRX can get away with 235 without rolling your fenders anything bigger u'll have to roll them. 225 for sure will not rub

Nope. 235 should be fine. I doubt you'll have to roll your fenders. 245's will probably need mild rolling in the rear.

just remember that going on wider will affect your steering response i.e. you'll be increasing understeer

ya i know, but i love how wider wheels give it that agressive look!, its cool though. sugesstions...i sold my gramlights like 3 days ago, and i was just debating on using the money for another pair of wheels, or just powder coating the BBS and just get wider wheels, and fixing my engine..what do you guys think i should do? I just dont know if i wanna blow 1800 back on wheels when i can put that all in my bay.
