Trying to get tires on my wrx 04 but don't know anything about tires.

I've searched through this forum and I can't figure out what these numbers are.

Can you guys please recommend me the perfect tire size for SSR comp 17 by 7.5?

Oh, and i'm getting Hankook tires cause my friend's dad owns that place.

And I'm gettins ssr for 330 each. Do you think it's a good deal?

 

Oh yes... that sounds like a sweet price for new SSR Comps. I don't know if it's the perfect WRX size for the SSR Comp 17 X 7.5 (+50 offset, 100/5) but here's what I put on my '03 WRX Sedan: 225/45/17. That's a "safe" size for the WRX and will not rub. Will not alter speedo or odometer readings. I used Kumho Ecsta MX tires which tend to run a little wider than some tires for a given size. If you go to 235 and above width you are geting into the grey area: may fit w/o rubbing, may not depending on the tire. It's going to get noticeably harder to steer at 235 and you may not gain all that much in traction and will get more rolling resistance, but thats just my .02 worth.
