The Speedometer
Ok I have had a bunch of people try to tell me that if you get 18" rims and tires or bigger for say a car that uses 16" you would have to get your speed O changed to account for the bigger rim tire size........I think that as long as the Outside Diameter is the same....It should make little or no difference.......Am I crazy?
It's all about outer diameter. When you get bigger wheels, it's like a donut with a bigger hole. The tire sizes we recommend reflect the knowledge that the OD must remain constant because the car works best as close to the original diameter as possible.
