I know the smaller the width the better for snow, so i was wondering since the stock wrx rim is 205/55/16, can i put maybe a 195/55/16 if they make that size

actually some people have been saying 205 is ideal . . . I don't think the difference is going to be huge, especially on an AWD car . . . might as well just stick w/ the 205's

I run a set of 205/55 Dunlop M2's and they are awesome in snow. Saved my but a few times and they aren't too bad on dry roads.

 

i was thinking of getting those, they are on special price on tirerack for 89, but i was thinking of getting the blizzaks ws-50 for 105, how are the tread wear on the m2?

205/55-16 would be the size I would recommend

Sorry I didn't answer your question earlier. The M2's have had surprisingly good tread life, considering I don't live in the snow and have to drive to it.
