Which Snow Tire for 05 STi?

Ive narrowed it down between Blizakk LM-22 or WS-50's

im leaning towards WS-50's
I have LM-22's on my prelude

good decision or no?
how are the WS-50's in the snow?
are they better in the snow?

TIA

I don't have an STI, but I have Dunlop Wintersports M2's. They aren't too bad in the dry and very good in the snow. The WS-50 is better in the snow but is horrible in the dry. LM-22 would be better if you want a higher performance tire that you can drive in the snow.

i called luke @ the tire rack to order a set of winter tires for my car. i was looking at the lm-22s and the ws-50s. he told me they were out of the lm-22s for the season and that they were a very good performance winter tire. the ws-50's are amazing in the snow but they drive like tank treads in the dry. so if you have really bad winters they are great but on highways and dry times they are rough. so ya they are a much better snow tire than the lm-22's and are meant more of places up north where there is snow on the ground almost constantly.

i ended up with a set of pirelli winter 210/240 (cant remember which) snowsports since that's about the best of what's left in stock and are supposed to be good for the usually mild winters in Maryland. i wanted to get the LM-22s or the WinterSport M3s but since i just got this car and it's late in the snow tire season they are both gone. oh well i've always been happy with Pirelli's in the past so i don't think they'll let me down. now i just need them to get here along with my new winter rims so i'll be ready for the snow!
