Silver or Steel Grey
What do you guys think? I,m looking to get a set of rims for my 03 Platinum Silver WRX can't decide what color silver or steel grey? Any pics would be appreciated thanks.
I like steel grey better because they are darker than the rest of the car but that is just my opinion. You should get what you think looks best. who cares what other people think they arent the ones driving your car you are. Hey thanks for the reply. I was leaning towards steel grey just needed another opinion. Do you guys know much about Kosei rims? I'm looking at the K1 TS. They are extremely light but don't know about strength?

I HATE wheels being darker than the car, it screams punk kid to me. Sooooooo, I got a great deal on a set of steel grey Tarmac II's for my PSM '02. My heart was set on silver, but like I said, the price was too good to pass.
What has helped me feel more comfortable with the steel grey is that the majority of cars on the road have silver/light grey wheels or hubcaps. After watching traffic today it was amazing how little variety in shades of silver there are for wheels.
I still feel that wheels look ridiculous when they are darker than the car so we'll see if they get mounted or not (haven't decided on a tire yet) I'm hoping that steel grey is light enough to not make my car look like one of those that drive me nuts because
the wheels themselves look incredible. They'd be absolutely perfect on sedona red, black, any shade of blue, darker greys etc.
But psm.....we'll see

I'm pretty happy with the wheels and tires; I'll save any review on either after my first 1k with them. I think they look dead sexy, however, and I typically never use that term to refer to cars

Hey Meilers thanks for the pics. Your car looks great with those rims. I think I have definantly made up my mind. Quick ? did you go with a 225/45/17 or 215/45/17?

Well, I also got heavier tires, and I went to 17" from 16" which means more wheel for the car to turn, so the acceleration is pretty much the same -- however, the initial GRAB is intense with the new tires! Overall the car does feel "lighter," easier to drive and more precise. I'll be interested to see if there is any change in my gas mileage...
