Rota 18's vs. 17's

Looking at getting Rota Subzero's for an 04 RS, deciding on 17's or 18's. Does anyone have an opinion on the daily drivability of 18's? What is a good tire size for them as well? Just want to make sure that they won't bend when hitting the occasional freeway pothole.

I have 18" Rota Battles with 225/40/18 Kuhmo Supra Ecsta. They ride really well and the tires are suprisingly stick considering their price. Definatley good value for the money.
