Question A question about cheap snow wheels and brake clearances

I was looking for a cheap wheel/snow tire set up for my STi on Tire Rack and what the search interface recommended was a set of ASA KA3's wrapped in 225/45-17 Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50's. I just wanted to know if anybody actually has these wheels and if they clear the STi brake callipers (the "pre-Brembo" Subaru 4-pots, that are almost as big as the Brembos that the newer STi's come with), or, can recommend another wheel that would fit and costs around $130 each and can support the above mentioned tires. I was pissed to find out that my WRX wheels won't clear the STi brakes. Also, I'm a bit confused about offset numbers.... you can't tell if a wheel will have proper brake calliper clearances by this number alone, can you? Help!
