PZERO NERO....anyone?

I was looking at the all season Pirrelli PZERO NERO tires. THey are all season and M+S rated so I will be able to take them in the dirt pretty confidently short of getting rally tires. Has anyone tried these tires? How are they on the street?

I am thinking about going up to pikes peak, the tires will surely get trashed but i think it will be funny.

Also see the Sumitomo HTR+. It's open tread and biting edges make for a decent "mixed surface" traction experience.

Has anyone had any experience with the Kumho Exta ASX tires? There is no user info on tirerack on them yet.

damnit i should have waited.

ive the neros. ive got no complaints. theyve taken me through snow storms, and heavy rain without any problems. great tires.
in the street, they seem pretty good. they grip really well, and they dont scream very easy.
thumbs up for the pzero neros

The ASX is a nice tire - just snow tested them. Can't give any real input yet as I haven't driven them in the dry, but I'd still take the Pirellis because I know they're wonderful in all conditions.

Dexter, let me know when you test them on dry and wet surfaces. Dry traction is crucial to me adn I don't think the tires will ever see snow. If you do test them anytime soon, is the difference in cash still worth it for the pirrelli's or will I not see much of a difference. For reference sake, I will be dropping the car on prodrive springs so that should put more pressure on the tires come twisties. LMK

Thanks in advance.

i've had pzero nero m/s's on for ~1000 miles. i like them more than my old sumitomo htrzII's. the turn is is much better. although i did have only 215's for the sumitomo's and 225's for the pirelli's. the road noise on the pirelli's is louder. but i have a Apexi gtspec exhaust which is already loud so road noise doesnt bother me. the only problem with the pzero nero m/s's is that they CRAZY follow grooves on the freeway. like scary, feeling like the car is gonna switch lanes on its own, follows them.

scoobyboy. the tire installer said he put in 35 psi each. but i checked using the Chevron air gauge and they said 40 psi. so i'm not sure which is the accurate gauge.

No news as of yet on when I'll get to drive on the Kumhos in the dry. Keep on eye here as customer reviews start to come in. There's none today - but there might be some tomorrow...
