I've got a set of 17" ATP Spa aluminum wheels that have gotten a lot of curb damage in the three years I've owned them. They appear to be just painted so I was thinking about sanding/buffing out the scratches and then re-painting them. Can anyone give me advise on how to do this or if it is worth it? Also, will it last?

Have you searched??? Not to be an *** but I did search and there was ONE basic explaination of how to do it, and NO comments on how long it lasts or if it is really worth the effort. No one even has commented on paint problems from high brake temps, or if it looked nice for a few months and then started to corrode. No mention of primering or what kind of primer to use.

I'm looking for details. I can do a halfassed job on my own. I came to this section to try and find some details.
