p1- tire rub with 225/45r 17?
Newbie here. Purchasing the p1 17" (17 x 7) need to determine if I go with the 225/45r17 as opposed to the 215/45r17s if I will end up experiencing any wheel rubs? I have prodrive springs installed and am not sure if going with a "bigger" tire will f things up?
I would think that conering will be enhanced but will there be an issue with fuel efficiency? If so is it even noticeable? Thanks all

here we go again with the offset arguement. all i know is that the two different rims i have both 18x7.5 one +35 offset and one +45 offset the 35 sticks out farther than the 45 and the 45 sits in toward the body more. following that trend you figure out how to judge offset. there are alot of offsets that will fit it all depends on how you want it to look, pushed out to the fenders or tucked in. find a pic of what you like and pm them, thats my best advice

I'll post some links that support my #'s and people can make their own decisions on who's right. I'm not following you around and trying bust your ballz. I'm just trying to make sure people know what offset is best for their car. Incorrect offset will cause rubbing and put more stress on the wheel bearings. Replacing the wheel bearings on a WRX is very expensive.
Punch in your #'s and then punch in mine and you will see that my numbers are going to be better for the wheel bearings http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
My OE WRX wheel is 6.5" wide with a +55mm offset so set the starting value at that.
BTW, How do you like Guerin?
