*To start - the SSR is forged and the OZ is cast - so the SSR turns out about 4lbs. lighter.
*The SSR is 7.5" wide and the OZ is 7" wide. One could argue that a 215 width tire fits better on a 7" wheel and a 225 width tire fits better on a 7.5" wheel.
*The SSR is $100 more per wheel

The good news is you can't go wrong with either. These are among the finest in my opinion.

SSR .. nicer wheels lighter. It depends on what you what in the looks.

SSR is more JDM ... if that
OZ are Euro, or something.

But if I were you i'd get the SSR's, and get them in 8" for a WRX sedan. or 7.5 for the wagon.

Also get some monster tires too.

According to Tire Rack, there is no such animal as an 8 inch wide, 17 inch SSR.
I have 17x7.5 SSR's on my car, and they are worth every penny.

The 17x8 Competition with 5-100 bolt pattern is available only in 35mm offset - not good for Subaru. Stay with the 7.5.

...OOPS....I omitted the "in correct offset" at the end of my first sentence.
Sorry for the omission.
