one thing i still don't understand..help me out!
I've done alot of reading on RIMS for my 2002 WRX. I think I am going for the Rota's or ADR's 18" 48+ offset. BUT my only concern is the effect of these tires on my spedometer reading.
From what I read, if you keep the overall wheel size the same (ie. rim+tire) then I should be ok...is that true?? That doesn't seem to make sense because these tires are supposed to partially *fill* in the fender gap, thus making them larger. Is my logic wrong?
thanks guys!

As long as the overall diameter of the wheel+tire is the same as stock nothing will change on your speedo or odo. Not sure what size you will need. But you can find out at the tirerack.com just use a wrx with 18 inch tires and it will tell you all the dimensions.

I also posted a question about this.
From my understanding, as long as the tire fits the well, upsizing a tire will only affect your speedometer (and odom). A minor increase may affect it a couple mph, but not that big a deal.
A true plus-one increase keeps the diameter the same, you just have less sidewall.

wrx ish - that makes sense..so really the tire diameter changes very little...it is just how much of the wheel is "tire" and how much of is "rim".
thanks guys!
no would you guys recommend spending $600 on ADR's or the $900 on OZ's or $700 on Rota's???

the tire size determines the outer diameter, the rim size is taken into effect on tire size
a good place to mess around with tire sizes to see the overall diameter is here: http://www.onlineconversion.com/tire...conversion.htm
