New Tires for my Rex...need some help?

I am currently running the Michillen Pilotsports M&S and I love them. I have about 28000 miles on them and they are holding up VERY WELL!. My problem is that winter is coming here in NJ and I want to get new tires that will perform well in the snow, and very well on wet and dry surfaces. I also now have a bubble on my front right tire so it's time for new ones. It's just so hard to make a decision because my parents offered to buy them for me for an early christmas present. So I can get the best of the best. Does anyone have any recommandations on a good set of tires for my conditions. Please, all opinions and and knowledge welcome.......Thanks so much

Im also interested if its possible to get wider tires on the stock wrx rims...??? Cuz I like the look of wider tires better.

Heres a link with a pic of my tire on my Silver 03 Bugeye Rex, not great quality, sorry, , which are the best type by the way....in all ways, hehe......

im really looking at the Avon Tech M550 A/S....the reviews look great on tirerack, everyone seems to enjoy them very much. Says there good in the snow rain, and dry conditions. And the price is also very cheap compared to the $138 i paid for each of my michillen pilot sports m/s.......

So let me know what you guys think and please get back to me asap because i need to purchase these very soon....Thanks again

Not sure because I don't drive in the snow too much, but I know that 225 50 16 is the biggest tire that will fit on the stock wheel.

In case you are interested, here is an Excellent Tire Size Calculator that you can use to determine the difference between your current tire size and the Tire Size that you would like to use.

I had the Avons M550 great traction but had flat spots and didnt go away and vibration over 70 mph.. Balanced tires 3 times and still the same
Recently got Bridgestone Re960 Pole Position- Quiet and Great Traction as well wet and dry didnt get snow yet but should be OK. Not a cheap tire

just select the category you want

I had the all-season avons and they were loud as hell. prefer re92s over them.

right now I have on the re050a's since they are on closeout pricing

It might not matter to you, but wider tires work worse in the snow.
