new to the subie, would like some help with mods and wheels
hey guys I am new to the subies, I just got my 07 wrb wrx in Janruary and really would like to start modding and tuning but have no clue where to start, also I would love to get myself some rims and tires (preferably anthracite or gunmetal) any suggestions on sizes or brands? thanks a ton and I can't wait to join the I-club family
yeah I was thinking some 18x8's what do you think for a good brand? and will 18x8's rub on my back lip? thanks for the reply and what about some starter mods? I was thinking maybe a k&n typhoon intake with an STI TMIC and maybe COBB DP and catback.. is that good stuff tho? would I have to get an AP or engine managment?

I'm not too familiar with the K&N Typhoon for the WRX/STi, but I know it is not recommended for the Evo. I'd suggest either an AEM Short Ram or a Cobb Intake instead. Both of these actually will save you money over the K&N, too
You will be well-served with the STi TMIC as well as the Cobb Turboback. I usually recommend the Cobb Access Port as a starter upgrade. Based on your modding plans so far, I'd definitely recommend picking one up.Hope this helped you out a little bit :RockOn - not mine:
201 thanks for the info, and the cobb intake would be better you say? I am really just going for the best stuff for the best prices you know? and how easy is a Cobb AP to use? cause I am kind of worried that I might mess up or something? I honestly don't even know how it works or how to work it...
... sorry guys that i am such a
but thanks again for the help

To give you an idea of room, I ran an 18x8.5 +40 with 245 tire and no rubbing or rolling. There is more room there than some people will tell you. 8-8.5 wide is typical Offsets between 40 and 47 are all fine
