Also if i may add, how is this conversion done?
DannyMac43: i looked on ebay and saw some spacers that could do the trick. they convert the 5x100 lug nut pattern to the sti's 5x114.3 lug pattern. dunno if thats how you do it but its an idea

I believe you have to change the wheel hubs. It's fairly expensive thing to do if I remember correctly. Just hit up a shop and they'll tell you. Changing the wheel hubs can cost about $200 alone

Basically spacers that alter to 5x114, but the other way would be almost new drivetrain

not that hard....
I know for a fact, in my case, a wagon, i can swap to 5X114 just by changing out the brakes from an sti or other 5x114. It is a very popular mod among the GC and GF crowd, and often they do it to swap out their rear drums for rear disks. If you can find a wrx or sti in a junk yard, you can pick up the parts and swap them on, you'll need the whole knuckle. If you cannot find such a thing, then ya you basically gotta buy new knuckles and parts or go with the spacer thing, which does not sound like a good idea to me, imho. When the funds are there i will probably be swapping out my front disks and rear drums for a set of wrx brakes, but i'd rather keep the 5x100, less confusion when you sell it to people.
I had a link to a writeup done on a base impreza, but it seems to be escaping my search efforts atm.
