I am thinking of getting some 205/55/16 Falken Azenis St 115's for my stock 02 rims. What do people here think of these tires? They seem to have a "good" reputation... Any comments highly appreciated.

they are good the 615's are better

 

excellent tires from experience, the dry and wet traction is great

 

Quiet tire and good dry/wet performance. Definitely good for a dailey driven car.

 

and treadwear is like 360, which is really good for the grip you are getting

 

Decent overall tire - but has a very soft sidewall. Makes the handling a little sloppy, but rides very comfortably.

 

I ran these tires all last year, and I love them. They have unbelieveable wet traction, which is important to me since it rains every couple days here. Dry traction is great too. On the track (a 4km circuit), they were great up until about the 4th lap, and then they began feeling mushy around turns after they got really heated. 615's would be better for this application. Treadwear is better than any other tire I have seen. After all of the abuse I put on these things, they still have plenty of meat left on them.

 

good traction, but the car went to hell with body roll.
I was running 17x7.5 rotas with 215/45/17 Pirelli Pzero nero M+S, 20mm rear sway bar, eibach pro kit springs then went to 225/45/17 ST-115's. The very first thing I noticed on my commute over hwy 17 from san jose to santa cruz was the added body roll.

If you only care about looking good and hearing your speakers, and you don't drive your car on the back roads then get these tires.

If you want something sticky in rain and dry and no added body roll, get the Falken GFB FK-451.

it's a quiet tire. good tread life, and good wet traction. it only lasted me about 15k miles (lots of canyon driving.)

Quiet and good traction dry and wet...didn't last as long as I had hoped...price is good.

Now I am running Bridgestone RE-750's and I feel that they are much better tires than the Falken's. I can't seem to wear them down. They are even stickier than the Falkens wet and dry...they are priced higher, but I think they are well worth it. I am running 225/40/18's dropped with Cusco coilovers right now...I just had my rear end rolled and will be putting either 245 or 255/35/18's on next...can't wait...but then again, I can't seem to wear these tires down!
