How can you ship rims/tires mounted?

How can you ship rims/tires mounted?
What's the best way to ship a set of 4 rims and 4 tires if they are still mounted? I've shipped them seperate before and just zip-tied the tires in pairs and put the rims in boxes and shipped them, but don't know how to ship them as mounted. Anyone done this?

Tire Rack ships them in pairs, with a nice thick piece of cardboard on either side and plastic strapping holding them together. I've received a couple/few sets from them that way with no problems.
