Angry Help! tire rubbing bad!

I just put on 18" x 7.5 Rota with 48 offset Tarmac IIs, on my 1999 RS, i have 225/40/18 tires on them, and they rub around almost every turn at moderate speed, and i cant have any people in the back seat or they sometimes rub over small size bumps... need help ASAP, i didnt think i would have this problem at all.. any suggestions would be great

You may want to start off rolling the fenders and if that doesnt work add some - camber to the rear. Is your car lowerd and if it is how much, what springs, what struts and what tire did you go with?

18x7.5 +48 w/ 225/40/18

On a GC.

That just wont work without major headache.

You need 215/35/18 and even that will most likely rub.

Wheel is too big and you need higher offset.

Get a baseball bat and roll the fenders. I'm running 225's on my GC, you must roll the fenders.

Yea, I'm running 225/45s w/o rubbing at all, depends on physical width. Or maybe I'm some kinda anomoly???

Physical width, offset, alignment, and ride height/suspension are all major factors.

A wise man once said "The reason for having money is to spend it" and another great man once said "Go big or go home" Go with the 16's or even the 17's and enjoy how they look and not going through the trouble of trying to find some 15's to fit over your stock setup. Cheers
