Hankook or Falken 225/45/17 on 05 wagon?
Was reading how certain 225/17 tires will rub on stock height wagons. I'm looking at picking up some Rota SDR's 17x7.5 with 53mm offset. Would either a Hankook Ventus RS2 or Falken Beta 451's be too wide for this setup on an 05 wagon, Saab 9-2x to be exact? Heard the Rs2's run wide for thier size like the Falken Azenis do (won't be getting the falken azenis)

I could be wrong and a lil' off topic, but I think all rotas for subarus are 48 aren't they? Which isn't as critical if your talking about a sedan. But I'm new. So 225's, particularly a wider one are probably going to require removal of black plastic piece or maybe fender rolling in back. I'm interested in wag fitment stuff looking at options too.

Subydude has a limited set of 53mm Rota SDR's.

I actually picked them up last week, and will get them installed some time this week. Oh yeah, and I went for the Hankook RS2's

I thought all Rota's were +48mm also. Since it's advertised as +53, you should be fine w/ 225's. I'm running the stock BBS-STI rims w/ 225 RE070 tires on my '05 wrx wagon w/ stock springs w/out any problems.
