deciding between Toyo T1R's and Yokohama A032R H Compound

just as the title says, who is using either tire, i'm looking at 225/45/17 or smallest i can go on sti bbs rim. It is dual use street and AX, but i need some wet traction, as it rains alot where i live. thanks

I will be using a set of AO32's soon, but for your application with the rain mixed in, I might go after the Dunlop Super Sport Race, I've heard they are great in the rain.

well, I don't have a wagon anymore, but in doing some more reading, it looks like the full depth RA-1 is a decent rain performer.

just an update to my thread, i got kumho v700's for my race tires on my stocker 16's, and ordering a set of avon tech M550 A/S 225/45/17's for my bbs's. curiuos as to what anyone thought of the avon's i hear they are getting good reviews, and they are made by bridgestone, so they are not an entirely new company.

I heard the Yoko has a longer wear and is a good track day tire but I think the Toyo is better autoX. I do more track days so if Iwere to buy a new tire it'd be the A032-R

got about 200 miles now on the avon's. i have to say, i'm not that happy with them, but as my street tires and for the price, it should work okay. they do not grip as much as the stock sti 070's, but are 80 bucks cheaper per tire.
