So after letting my dad drive my Subaru, I got a flat tire (Nails in both rear tires, back driver side went flat). Brought it to the dealer to see if they could repair it, they said they couldn't, and that I need a new set cause the ones I have are worn. They were stock with only 8300 miles on them. Since my mom was dealing with the dealer as I was at work, she told them to go ahead and replace the stock Potenza's with the Coopers, which they assured her were great tires. They were about 100 a tire.

Now what bothers me here is 1) The tires that were on the car weren't that worn, and they didn't even try to repair the tire. 2) I can't even find the model tire, Cooper CS4 Touring 205/55R16 reviewed anywhere.

Did I get screwed? Are the tires they gave me any good?

Note that I live in upstate New York, so the winter here is nothing to be sneezed at, and as I live on the mountain instead of in town, I need good winter performance (hence the Subaru), so of great importance is wet and snow condition performance. If these aren't great tires for that (emphasize great), what should I look at for some replacement all season tires?
