Continental vs Falken's

I have a 2002 WRX Wagon and its time for new sneakers...

which would you get and why?

Continental ContiExtreme Contact

or

Falken Ziex ZE-512

or

something else?

I want a good all around all season tire that will last about 30K.

whats your driving style and what type of roads do you do your driving on?

i just ask because 30k miles is a lot, i know that i can't get any tire to last more than 10k miles

mostly highway driving, but I am a fairly aggressive driver when not on the highway...

I better be able to get more than 10K out of a set of tires!!

According to Consumer Reports -Falken

Ziex 512 came out on top. I am ordering some 225/50/17s

whoa, what kind of car do you have, cause that is an odd size tire for a subaru

Forester XT with 17" wheels

stock is 215/60/16, increase is only a little over 1% difference

stock is 205/55/16

I got the 225/50/16 which is the Plus Zero

never heard of the 215/60/16, but maybe its for a different model.

I have the WRX Wagon ('02)

I just purchased the a set of Zeix 512 for my 99 2.5rs and they are excellent in wet and dry. Quiet too!

I don't know how good their service is, but www.vulcantire.com is a very cheap place to buy Falken 512's. When I was researching tires I found this place, but ultimately ended up buying a more winter oriented tire in the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500.
