cheap good summers

I'm in need of some 215/45/17 tires and wasn't looking to pay more than I need to. Are the ecsta 711s drivable? I can get them from tirerack for under $250 shipped... Would the ectsa asx's or the 712s be worth the extra ~$120? Or any other ideas? Keep in mind I have well under 200whp and can only make use of so much traction, and I don't want them to burn up in a blink of an eye...

Is the road hazard plan worth the extra ~$25 (for the 711s)?

Any promo/coupon codes for i-club members? ...Tirerack sure is great!!!!~~

Thanks for the help!

Not quite dirt cheap at $127 for 225/45/17 that I use, but the Kuhmo Ecsta MX is a proven balance of extreme dry traction and excellent wet performance that lasts down to the wear bars. I've got 131K on my set (maybe a few months left on them) and I drive 250 miles in commute a week plus pushing some county roads every weekend. The dry traction in unbelievable: like the 212s but the MXs even better in the rain. A summer tire, but I drive them all year because it doesn't snow here.

You got 131,000 miles out of those tires? or maybe 31,000?
