Brake rotors
I've got some drilled brembos on the front that are wearing to the point of replacement and i've been asking myself the same question. I'm either going to get some of the frozenrotors.com replacements or step up to a WRX front brake upgrade. Frozenrotors does have slotting and drilled options. Price is kinda high, but if they last twice as long as untreated rotors, it's a much better deal.
It probably depends on the years we're comparing. 98 GTs had a front 10.5" rotor. The 98 RS was 10.7". They may be able to fit, given such a small difference. http://cars101.com is a really good place to find this info, btw.
The WRX discs are 11.3" and it's a bit easier to find nice pads for them.

This is what i'm looking at if i stay stock size:

Again, they are pricey, but if they last as long and perform as well as they're supposed to, it's a good investment.

However, I bypassed this "stage" & went straight to the older JDM 4 pots & WRX-sized DBA650 rotors on both of my cars.
On my '96 Legacy wagon, the rotors & pads have lasted just about a year, which is when I replace pads & rotors.
On the '93 Impreza, the brakes work even better, being a lighter car.

I would recomend against the drilled rotors, just on principal. They eat brake pads, and do so in a very bad manner. Go with slotted if you go with anything of the sort.
I went with WRX rotors and calipers on my BE. Even though it wasn't as big of a jump as going from BD/BG to WRX rotors/calipers, it felt like a huge difference. I can only wonder what it'd feel like on your car.
