18 by 8 or 18 by 8.5?
performance wise = 17"
But if u want the 18s for the "bling" or whatever, I'd get the x8s cuz they're gona be lighter than 8.5s. Furthermore, unless ur seriously going to roll the fenders and remove the liner and stuff, the clearence will limit you, not the wheels width.

I really didn't think this needed to be asked, but, the wider, the better. Hell if you could fit 18x9s w/ 265/35s - that would be superlative...provided you are gonna lay down 450+ WHP to use all that rubber

Sorry, my bad, I missed the +20mm clearance. Please disregard everything I've said
(I'm still not sure that it won't be clearance thats limiting you, but I'm clueless
)
Good Luck, and sorry for my crappy advice

You need 19in wheels to fit over 15in rotors - they aren't big just to be big.
Okay, First off you will need wheels that are avaialble in lower offsets to be flush w/ the new fenders/overfenders - something like 35-40mm, give or take. Generally speaking, the wider the wheel, the wider the tire, and the whole point of fender flares/overfenders is to cover wider tires. That is why I said, "...If you could fit 18x9s w/ 265/35s - that would be superlative." Considering that WRX sedans can fit 245s & your gonna get fenders that are 20mm wider, 265s should work. But, to be sure, you are going to want to contact the maker of the kit & ask them.
Well, let me ask you something: Why are you getting the fenders? For looks? Performance enhancement? Or because you have a wad of cash & can't think of any other way to use it? If it is for either of the first 2 reasons, then you will want wider wheels/tires, or at least tires that will be flush with the body kit, right? It would be easier to just buy some generic 18x7.5in wheels & then just get some 20mm or 2 10mm spacers & BOOM there you go your wheels are flush. But since spacers can cause additional stress on the hubs/wheel bearings that would not be best for the car. And on top of that you would still be using skinny 225s, you won't see much performance enhancement either. But if you get a wider wheel you could use 245, 255, maybe even 265s which woulld be (at least) an extra inch of rubber on the road. But since you want toe wheel to extend out past the OE fenders, you need a wheel with a lower offset.

I'm going with either gram lights or g games. I here gram lights dont like big brake kits but maybe if they are 18 it will work. I'm getting the wide fenders so i can get wider rims and tires. If the fenders dont help me go wider then i wont get them. But I for sure want 18s.
Good choices, especially if you go with the 57 PRO...
