Best looking tires and wheels
Best looking tires and wheels
I have a black 03 wrx and was wondering what the biggest wheel and tire i could get without rubbing. i was either looking at bronze, gold, or black wheels for my rex. Any suggestions on what would be a good setup. links would also be great too! i have never really bought wheels and tires (this is the first car i have actually wanted to make look better!!!) so where are some good deals for tires and wheels? like different websites or different stores (ie discount tire, les schwab....) with the best deals. maybe also other fellow wrx's that love their wheels and tires! thanks everyone!
I got 17x7.5 rota SDRs for my 05 sedan about 2 weeks ago. They look great, I got them in flat black. Put them in 225/45/17 RE960 AS pole posistions, not broken in yet but will be huge improvement over RE92s
here's a few things off of my wish list.

Rotas are heavy though,...They make real good looking duplicates of "name brand" wheels, but weight savings is a plus and makes a difference you can feel,..
I like Rotas,..but wish they were 2-3lbs lighter than they are in actuality for their sizes and widths,..

The Tarmac 3's weigh around 20.1 pounds and there are quite a few 18X8 wheels (the same weight) out there that are 2-3 times the price.
I don't know how accurate these #'s are but according to this site Rotas are fairly light when you consider how cheap they are http://www.wheelweights.net/
One day I will be able to afford to spend $1500 on a set of wheels but for now I'll just have to run a $700 set of wheels with a $800 set of tires.
