I wanted to add that I ended up driving my car in some snow yesterday and the Dunlops handled it ok..pretty impressive really.

 

I had the Sumitomo HTRzII's and they were great all around tires...real great in the wet......BUT...
They were LOUD!!! Drove me NUTZ....I took 'em off at ~1/2 tread.

Never hard anything good about the Parada's, just bad....no personal experience with them, though.

 

The Parada Spec 2 is much different than the original Parada. I'm currently addicted to the responsiveness afforded by asymmetric tires and I really like that Parada Spec 2 as a great value.

Sumitomos, loud? I had the 225/40-18 on my wagon for awhile and they were quiet as could be. I'm surprised to hear of your experience with them.

 

Dexter and uncle Scotty, I think one of you may be referring to normal road noise, and the other referring to the at-the-limit audible warning.

 

I'm talking not being able to carry on a conversation with someone in the car while driving down the road...coarse pavement made even thinking difficult
