Question Anyone tried these tires?

Thank you for dumpstering my post.

I understand this is a crosspost, and I try to first post in the appropriate forum, but I've gotten hardly any responses in the tire forum.

I'm looking for tires for my '04 STi, and was wondering if anyone had any comments on them.

TIA

A good place to look for reviews is at tirerack.com and they have a small review section for each tire, and what the vendor rates it at and what the drivers (consumers) rate it at. We also have a great tire review section in house here at I-club

Good Luck

I have RE 750s on my 2002 WRX . They seem fine but I'm not as confident with them as I had hoped. Definately an improvement over the RE 92s but I'm not sure you would find them so coming from RE070s in the dry at least. Probably better wet weather tires though. If you are looking for summer/rain tires then the S03s are supposed to be much better than the 750s but I couldn't justify the extra cash this time. May be next time. If you are looking for all seasons the 950s tested well in Consumer Reports (not so good for ice though)

What are you looking for out of the tires? One of my friends tests tires and he told me this, the falken azenis are really good on dry pavement, but are terrible in the rain, but they are cheap. The g force are not so good and they are pretty expensive. He hasn't test the bridgestones. His favorite tire for wet/dry are the toyo t1-s. He swears by them.

Can anyone comment on the BF Goodridge G-Force Sports? These are pretty new, and I've read all the stuff on Tirerack...just looking for some more input. My criteria in order of importance is road noise, dry traction, wear, then comfort. I'm currently running on minor suspension mods (Koni's with Eibach's and soon to be running Prodrive springs). Any input regarding my criteria would be appreciated.

So far there's not a lot I can say about 'em since they're still in the break-in period, but as for tire noise, they're VERY quiet. More quiet than my G-Force KDW's, which is what these replaced.

I've had a couple days in the rain and I honestly can't tell a difference between them from the KDW's, but again, this is under normal driving, nothing anywhere near the limit.

One thing I do get though is tramlining, and I think this is because of the thin center treadband the tire has. My KDW's didn't have this and I wasn't tramlining before.

One the KDW's, I got about 23k miles out of 'em and 8 autocrosses. The Sports have a treadwear rating of 340 while the KDW's had 270, so I expect these to last a bit longer.

I read some reviews on the sports and the general consensus is they do well in the dry, not so well in the wet when pressed hard. Tirerack has a good review of the tires on their site with a fair comparison between them and 3 other tires.

I'll post again after they've broken in more and i can get a chance to push 'em a little.

btw, tire rack had these for 98$ each in my size. I only briefly priced the falkens online (why doesn't tire rack sell falken?) and found them for $110 in the same size. My KDW's were $132 for 215's.
Thanks for the update...I've been waiting for someone to review these. I've read all the data on Tirerack...just was waiting for a fellow Suby owner to give a review. I think I'll be ordering a set this week.
