Anybody running Dunlop Direzza DZ101's or General UHP's?

I just ordered my Gram Lights 57F's (18x8.5) for my '05 STi and was looking for a performance summer tire that was both a strong performer and reasonably inexpensive due to the cost of the wheels. I was looking at the Tire Rack's site and these 2 tires seem to be rated very highly. Oddly enough, the General UHP was rated number despite being one of the cheapest tires. Does anyone have any experience running either of these tires?

The cheapest tires are not always the best.
Numerous people how have the General UHP's tell me
that they are by far the worst tire they have ever had.
I know the Dunlop Direzza DZ101's are great tires for
the money I would go with them if those are your choices.

I'm leaning towards stepping up a little bit and buying a set of Kumho MX's.

From my experience the Yokohama AVS ES100's were alot
better than the Kumho MX's.My car came with the Kumho MX's
and I didn't like them at all.Good luck with whatever tire you go
with though.

An kinda old thread but i had to jump in on this.... the dunlops are so underrated, my friend had them on his 200sx SE-R. bang for the buck these tires are great, that is once they are warm. but overall if wanna save a little bit get teh direzza's.oh, WRX409... just wanted to let you know that ES100's are the cheapest and worst time you can buy....... their is no possible way that they were better than MX's, unless you dont know what spirited driving is. one last thing..... for whoever reads this spend a little more money and get somethinf other than UHP's, they push sales on them cause they make the most money when they sell it. i know because i work at a shop that sells them.
