The post was for Doughboy who was asking for opinions about the ES100 from someone "who heard from other people" who used them. As we all know by now, actual experience is what counts.

Thread jack? well...maybe. Break out the nails and wood.

How come every time one of these "SUGGEST SOME TIRES" threads begins, no one ever mentions these?

Eagle F1 GS-D

According to the ratings and the comments on TireRack, these are the best damn sneakers out there in the max performance category. Does anyone have experience with these?

Because they are brand new and few people have used them. So far they do indeed look to be very good.

If you sort the ratings by "2002 Subaru" you get 14 ratings by Impreza owners. The higest rating is 9.63, the lowest is 8.14. I'm definitely interested!

I put some Conti Extreme Contacts on my 98 RS last November.

So far, so good.

Azenis- great after about 3,500 miles and then some understeer (not alot, but noticiable) , crap in the rain (can you say hydroplane) , but handle great in dry. good summer tire....

S-03's-excellent tire, runs on the expensive side but u get what you pay for.(also decent in the rain)

Kuhmo MX- good on the street and spiriated driving, on the track they are'nt the best but hold up.

Michelin Pilot sports- Good all around tire (really loud though) really shines in the wet weather....

BF goodrich G-Force-like S-03's excellent tire but plan to shell out some skrill....

kumho MX and Azenis are the best for your $ IMO....

I just upgraded my tires from 225/40/18 S0-3 to 235/40/18 Eagle F-1. paid 900$ out the door at Wheel Works in Sunnyvale CA. These tires are AWSOME! I love the Goddyear, better grip (I did get a wider size), and a lot quieter! The S0-3 are loud at high speeds. I reccommend the Goodyear Eagle F-1s over the S0-3s.
