All Season Tires
I'm just curious to any recommendations on all season tires for my 09 WRX. I'm planning on putting them on my stockers, while I throw my current tires on rims later.

Continental Conti Extremes, couldnt be happier, great all around tires, i use them at the track, i use them on the snow, i use them DD. The side wall is a little softer than i'd like, but all this does is wear a little further on the corner if you are taking hard turns on the track.
And they are m+s so unless its really bad out you can blow by all the folks having pay ex cons to put their chains on their car for them

i've been researching this exact topic for like two weeks as i need new tires but have no idea what to get still! from what i have found based on forums and reviews on sites like tirerrack.com I have found that there are 6 top all season tires out there that sti owners use:
pirelli p zero nero m+s
bridgestone Potenza RE960as Pole position
Continental ContiExtremeContact
Avon Tech M550 A/S
Yokohama AVID W4S
Kumho Ecsta ASX
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
from what i have read pirelli, bridgestone and continental are the most popular. the continental get great reviews for snow and it seems like the pirelli's get the worst ratings for snow. however its all based on peoples experience and driving style.
what i want to know is, is it even worth running all season tires if i'm only going to go up to tahoe once a month. my problem however is i don't have enough money to get dedicated winter tires and rims so i think i'm going to have to sacrifice the performance of summer tires

I know your going for allseasons, but if your looking for snow tires there is only two choices, Bridgestone blizzack Lm-22, or Michelin Pilot Alpine. I have had both and they are AMAZING. The pilot alpines have a much longer tread wear. Take it from me, had my STi through three winters in Colorado. Happy Hunting!

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. 4 years ago was probably the best snow we had till now. Hopefully this season turns around. At least it was only powder. There coulda been a huge chunk of ice waiting for you under there.

Thanks for the input guys. The Bridgestones and Continental seem to be a nice choice. I can't see myself getting dedicated winter tires, but it sure would be nice. Have any of you had issues with driving in snow with your rides lowered? I'm still in a debate with that as well. First things first, I gotta get rid of my exhaust.
