Question All-Season tire question

I havent driven in the snow yet but have read some bad things about the SBRP205/55R16 89V Bridgestone Potenza RE92, Mud and Snow, All-Season Tires
which came standered on my 2005 2.5 RS

any suggestions
would like to pay less than $100 a tire if I can help it
thanks

Falken Ziex 512s are M+S rated, I think. Good tires, and 205/16s should run less than $80 a piece.

512s are all season. I've got these on my suby. Where'd you read that they weren't?

Check out the tire section here and you'll find the answers you need.

There's the link from Falken. M + S rated, so they are all season.

Go with the pirelli p zero nero m+s. I've had them for a year and a half, driven in heavy rain, fresh powder, and muddy roads. They have worked great in all of these conditions. I've put 22,000 miles on them and still have about 60% tread left.

the pirellis mentioned above are great tires, but are a little pricier then the Falken 512s.

I heard the toyo proxes are good but I think they cost a lot.

I can back this up, but they are a lot more exprensive than 80 a pop. They are great tire for all conditions though.

You'll be fine on a new set of RE92's for a season of snow. Drive slowly and give yourself plenty of room.

I just got a set of the 512's, decent tires for the price. I paid 83 apiece shipped from discounttiredirect.com for my 215/45/17's.

It's too bad they don't have the M2's at Tirerack anymore. I bought mine for ~$80/tire. I've had them for 3 winters and they have been holding up great.

well my tires are still relativly new so i'll risk my first winter with them and see how ****ty they really are, but never have i seen such scathing reviews for a tire as have for these, so I know they will be replaced
