Question +46mm on a 17x8 Rim?

Did some searching and came up with the recommended offset for Subies to be 48-52mm. If I run +46mm will I have wheel bearing issues or will it be ok? I found a thread where Imprezer stated that +45mm and above is fine for a wrx, is that the way everyone feels? I ask because I'm looking into getting the Prodrive GC-05F and i've only found them in 17x8 +46mm. Almost ready to pull the trigger and buy them, just gotta get over the guilt of spending all the money for them.

Oh yeah I plan on running some 235, and get the koni inserts with eibach springs. Hoping I won't have to roll the fenders.

Prodrive makes some of the best parts for Subarus, so I'd expect their parts to be perfectly suited for Subarus.

That said, my personally opinion is that +42 is the absolute lowest I'd go. +46 isn't bad at all. It might be a little low, but I don't think it'll affect your bearings negatively.

There is (was) a guy (possibly the president of the Hanson fan club) with a white WRX named MmmBoost. He has(had) some white 17x8" TE-37s with a 46mm offset on 235/45s. Ask the search gods or the PM gods and they may deliver many bountiful tidbits of information.

i run 17x8 +45 on a 235/45. so far so good, no rubbing, no rolling fenders. i'm on prodrive springs, i think it's a ~20mm drop.
my previous wheels was 18x8 +51 225/40. no issues with this either
