245/45/16 on 8" wide wheels on 05 Sedan
I have searched and have found an equal number of posts saying they fit ok as there are posts saying it's a no go.
I'm thinking 16x8 Rota slips with 245/45/16 Hankook 212s would be a pretty decent all around set up.............but I don't want to go rolling fenders on my brand new car just yet.
The car is an 05 WRX Sedan...........should I just stick to the 225s?

225/45 - no rub
235/45 - may rub under hard/sharp cornering
235/40 - no rub
245/45 - rub-a-fella
245/40 - MAYYYY rub under hard/sharp cornering and if you have passengers in the rear.
235/40 is a good aggressive width while staying within non-fender rolling parameters
Goodluck!

a 215/5016 (good luch finding tires)
225/45/16 (not too popular in the US)
235/40/16 (once again, I don't think these exist)
245/35/16, 255/30/16, 265/25/16, et cetera, et cetra, et cetra...
A more effective Plus-0 & the one that is most often used is:
225/50/16
245/45/16s are not nearly as popular, but they should fit, seeing as how there are plenty of Sedan owners w/ 245/40/17s(a Plus-1).
