195 65 15 vs. 215 40 17
okay i already posted a question on here but i need to post another. after looking at some 205 40 17 kumho 711's for my 95 legacy sedan (bought 17" rims) they have a load rating of 992 lbs each, which i don't think is enough. you had already told me to go with 205 45 17's, which i didn't find alot in my price range 50-70$ a tire. i was wondering if 215 40 17 would be comparable. would this produce any rub (my car is lowered 1.25"). and would this just basically work and not mess with my speedometer etc. are they that much bigger or not at all?
The 215/40 might cause a rub on the rear - which would be easily remedied through rolling the fender lips. Get the lip roll quote first so you're not blindsided if they do rub. This is assuming the wheels are the correct fit for the car. Speedo error will be around 1%.

okay so could i safely go with 205 40 17 and not worry about anything? will the fender gap increase? or will they tuck under nicely? my car is lowered 1.25" front and rear. will speedo be off with 205 40? do you know what kind of weight load i should be looking at? i don't know what my car weighs (95 legacy sedan).
