17x7.5 on lowered wagon?
Hi,
I have an 03 wagon with tein ss coilovers, it is lowered about 1.25". I am looking at the Mille Miglia Cup 3S Sport 17x7.5 on special at tirerack with Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 225/45WR17 tires. Any idea if this combo would cause rubbing on a lowered wagon? what is the offset & weight on the mille's? Thanks.

The Mille Miglia Cup 3S Sport weighs 24 lbs. and has an offset of 52mm. It's a perfect fit on the wagon with 225/45-17s as long as your camber settings are close to stock.
Negative camber will help with wheel/tire fitment. When a car is lowered, the negative camber that occurs as the suspension is compressed is sometimes corrected (by adding positive camber) to keep tire wear normal. This "neutralizing" of camber can cause the tires to rub on the fenders - especially on the wagon. Cars lowered up to about 1.5" usually don't need any adjustments in camber from stock. Past this, the camber can be adjusted a degree or two to keep tires flat but that puts the top of the tire closer to the fender during suspension compression. A 225 on the rear of the wagon with 50mm offset 17x7.5s is 1-2 mm from the rubber fender lip liner. There's not much room for camber neutralization when the car is lowered.

So with the 52mm offset on those wheels, and lowered suspension, would that give me more or less clearance from the fender?
