17x7 or 17x8? which one?

im thinking about buying some 17s but im somewhat confused about which size to get. what do you recommend? ive done my research and it looks like everyone has different opinions on size. what do you recommend? i dont want any fender rubbing. my car is sitting low right now, so i want to make sure i dont get too wide of rims.

at least get 7.5's. if you can fit 8's then get the 8's. Wider is better = more contact with the road and better grip/cornering.

i guess it depends on what car you have, how low your car is and what size tires you run...also how much neg. camber.

It depends on what tire width you intend to run. If you intend to run 235's or wider tires, get the 8". If you do run 245+, you'll probably need some fender rolling. Also, depends on the specific tire and the tread width.
