17" Wheels, 225/45/17 or 215/45/17??

215/45s will fit w/o a doubt, and 95% of the time 225/45s will fit. DO NOT mount 215/35/18s on your car, they are simply not a Plus 2 option. the smallest tire even remotely suggestable would be 225/35/18, but most go with 225/40/18 & a few go with 215/40/18. BTW, 225/40/18 is damn near equal to the OE tire's Overall Diameter, as is 225/45/17 & 225/50/16. 215/45/17 is about 3/10s of an inch less than OE tire's OD.

For instance- Proxes T1-S 215/35/35-18's on a 7 inch wheel will actually give you about a half inch LESS than the OEM diameter w/16's.
The same tire in a 225/40/18 will give you a quarter inch HIGHER than the OEM 16inch combo diameter.
Just a factor to take into account...
I run 18x7 Centerline RPM (14.2lbs) wrapped with 215/35/18ZR Proxes T1-S. The springs are Eibach Pro-Line. (1.3F/1.0R drop)

If you're running 17's on your wagon, and it's lowered, you may have to roll the fenders with 225's. I was running 17x7.5 48mm with 215/45-17 and had no problems with rubbing. Now I'm running KD's in 225/45-17 and am getting rubbing in the rear with any kinda serious cornering. So I got the rears rolled and now it seems pretty good. Haven't tested it on the track yet, just freeway on/off ramps.
So 215's if you car is lowered is your safest bet. Get some S03 or Kumo MX's. They seem to be the tire of choice for a lot of peep's including myself when I was running 3's. Just wanted to try something different so I'm on the KD's now.
