07 Wrx Wheel Fit problem

Ordered a set of Enkei RPM2 wheels for my 07 wrx- 5-100 17x7 48mm offset,as stock as it gets. Everybody who sold them said they would fit. But the wheel hit the stock brake calipers on the front. Enkei tech rep said he'd never heard of any problem. Shop I got 'em from was great about it and offered me a super deal on a couple other enkei wheels,an NT03+M and an RPF1. Both in 8" width. ANY IDEAS?? Any one else have experience (bad) with fitting wheels to an '07 wrx?Any subaru mech's or part guys out there-were there changes to 07 front calipers?I think they went to dual pots as late as '06 or?

Probably, and thanks for the thought, but it raises enough other questions, like strength, flex, interference with bodywork, correctly measuring, that I thought it wasn't really the way to jump immediately.I've messed with so many parts in my life trying to make them fit that my rule of thumb is' if it don't fit don't mess with it'-get something that does fit.

4pots are bigger, but they sold the wheel as an 07 item, they should have known if it would clear the wheels or not.

desperate

BUMP-I'm so frustrated ,anybody know anybody who installed after market wheels on an '07 WRX? NO STI info-it won't work-I'm not even sure about the 5x100 statements that the wheel clears Brembo brakes, but if you know somebody who put Brembo's on an '07 WRX AND after market wheels let me know.

OK, My problem appears solved today, not because of this posting, but because of the I-club. I found a member in the FS section who had some after market wheels he had on his 06 wrx. They are BBS RG-R's in 17x7.5,5x100,48 offset. I picked them up today and they cleared the front calipers. I could never have afforded them new,but just could used. They're 1 piece forged and I weighed 'em on UPS's certified scale and they were 17.6 lbs ea. AND GOD ARE THEY GORGEOUS .
